Russian heavyweight Oleg Popov has a new opponent for his next PFL appearance.

The former MMA Series fighter will take on unbeaten Iranian heavyweight Pouya Rahmani at a PFL event scheduled for Nov. 14 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Rahmani, 34, enters the matchup with a perfect professional record of 6-0. The Iranian heavyweight has also previously competed for Russian promotion ACA.

Popov, also 34, brings considerably more professional MMA experience into the bout. The Russian owns a 23-2 record, with nine of his victories coming by knockout.

Before making the move to the international stage, Popov competed in MMA Series. He later joined the PFL, where he won the promotion’s heavyweight Grand Prix in 2025.
