MMA Series-95: Andryushko to defend title against Bodao, Vasilenko set for stand-up showdown, Kurochkin returns

MMA Series-95 will take place on September 5 at the International Boxing Center in Moscow. In the main event, MMA Series heavyweight champion Dimitriy Andryushko will make the first defense of his title against former UFC and PFL fighter Francimar “Bodao” Barroso.

Andryushko and Barroso were originally scheduled to meet in May, but the champion was forced to withdraw from the event due to illness. The Russian-Brazilian heavyweight showdown will now headline MMA Series-95.

In the co-main event, undefeated Maxim Namitov will look to extend his winning streak against Shakhriyer Khalimov. The Tajikistani fighter, meanwhile, will be aiming to bounce back from his loss to Israel Figueira.

Namitov holds a perfect 3-0 professional record and is also a champion of the Nashe Delo promotion. Representing SBKE Akula, he made an impressive MMA Series debut in October 2025, defeating Bekhan Umaev by TKO.

Khalimov will also be making his second appearance in the promotion. The former Hardcore MMA fighter went the distance with former featherweight title challenger Israel Figueira in February 2025, ultimately losing to the Brazilian by decision.

Another notable matchup on the card will take place under MMA Gloves Series rules, as one of the promotion’s most exciting fighters, Andrey Vasilenko, faces Dmitriy Papovich. The bout will be contested entirely on the feet, with no grappling or kicks allowed.

Vasilenko is also known for competing in phygital combat sports. As part of Nefor Team, he finished second at the Games of the Future 2026. His opponent, Papovich, brings experience from bare-knuckle competition.

MMA Series-95 will also mark the return of the promotion’s 2025 Best Newcomer, Saveliy Kurochkin. The Russian fighter quickly became a fan favorite with his aggressive style, relentless pressure and constant pursuit of a finish. He will face experienced Shamshodi Rozizoda, who steps in to replace Tursunbek Sodikov after the latter withdrew due to injury.

The rivalry between Artem Gudkov and Aldam Aldamov will also continue. At MMA Series-94, the two found themselves on opposite sides of the cage in a 2-on-2 bout, with Gudkov and Andrey Vasilenko defeating Aldamov and Tamraz Kusilov. This time, the two young fighters will meet one-on-one.

The main card will also feature a women’s bout between Evangelina Potemkina and Anastasia Lobunskaya. Potemkina enters the fight with professional MMA experience, while Lobunskaya will be making her mixed martial arts debut.

Well Oliveira will take on Evgeniy Tabarovskiy in another matchup on the card. For the Brazilian, this will be his fifth appearance in MMA Series. Tabarovskiy will be looking for his first win in the promotion after two closely contested bouts against Jefferson Goncalves.

Another point of interest will be the MMA Series debut of Francimar Barroso’s younger brother, Fransuir Barroso. The Brazilian will face Artem Kuznetsov, who will be looking to rebound from his loss to Iskhak Magomedov.

Gleb Mikhalev and Igor Konstantinov will also meet inside the cage. Mikhalev already has experience competing under the MMA Series banner. Konstantinov has recorded two wins and three losses in the promotion and received the MMA-TV.com Award for Best Submission at the end of 2025.

Another bout on the card will see Rustam Dzhaychiyev take on Magomed Kudiyev. Dzhaychiyev has previously competed in MMA Series, earning a victory at an event in Belarus in 2020. Kudiyev will be making his promotional debut. The Pavel Koval-trained fighter enters the matchup on a three-fight winning streak and remains undefeated as a professional.

A total of 11 action-packed bouts are scheduled for MMA Series-95. During the event, fans will also learn new details about the promotion’s next MMA Series show.
