MMA Series Classic
MMA Series-95 took place Sept. 5 in Moscow, with heavyweight champion Dimitry Andryushko successfully defending his title against former UFC and PFL fighter Francimar Barroso in the main event.
The five-round championship fight went the distance, with Andryushko earning a split-decision victory to retain the MMA Series heavyweight belt. Following the bout, Barroso announced his retirement from professional competition.
In the co-main event, Maksim Namitov delivered one of the night's biggest finishes, knocking out Shakhriyor Khalimov at 3:17 of the second round.
Two more highlight-reel finishes came in the opening round. Saveliy Kurochkin stopped Shamshodi Rozizoda by knockout at 2:57, while Andrey Vasilenko needed less than a minute to finish Dmitry Papovich in a stand-up bout contested under MMA Gloves Series rules.
Zurab Akhmedov and Evgeny Tabarovsky also picked up stoppage victories, submitting their respective opponents.
