A heated matchup is officially on the books for MMA Series-95, which takes place Sept. 5 at the Luzhniki International Boxing Center in Moscow.
After weeks of back-and-forth between Andrey Vasilenko and Arsen Nersesyan, the promotion did not keep fans waiting long for confirmation: the fight is now official.
Vasilenko, who represents Druzhina, has been competing under the MMA Series banner since 2025 but has already become one of the league’s most entertaining names. He has made four appearances in the promotion — and each one has brought its own share of drama. There was a fiery debut in Minsk, a contender-fight victory in Moscow, a title bout he lost only by majority decision, and then a wild 2-on-2 scrap. In short, Vasilenko has seen just about everything inside the cage.
Nersesyan, representing Lion Heart, has two MMA Series bouts on his record — though they came six years apart. In 2020, he suffered a loss to Alexey Lyapunov before taking fights in other promotions. He returned in 2026 and submitted Gleb Mikhalev, announcing himself once again as a threat. Nersesyan carries himself with absolute confidence, which helps explain why he had no hesitation in issuing a bold challenge to Vasilenko.
