Champion vs. Champion Title Fight and 2-on-2 Bout Set for MMA Series-94 at Luzhniki

MMA Series-94 takes place May 30 at the International Boxing Center in Moscow’s Luzhniki complex, with a champion-vs.-champion title fight headlining the card.

In the main event, lightweight champion Dmitry Mikhailidi will defend his belt for the first time when he meets reigning featherweight champion Nikita Barkhatov inside the cage.

Mikhailidi, the MMA Series lightweight champion from Omsk, has carved his path to the top of the division with an unbeaten run through the promotion. A well-rounded fighter, Mikhailidi is comfortable striking at range, working in the clinch and, when the opportunity is there, taking opponents to the mat and controlling the fight from top position. After defeating Vasilenko in his most recent bout, Mikhailidi did not have to wait long for his next challenger: Barkhatov, who is looking to capture a second MMA Series title.

Barkhatov, the reigning MMA Series featherweight champion from Obninsk, needed just four fights to claim gold in the promotion. A dangerous finisher from start to finish, Barkhatov has recorded two submission wins by choke and two knockouts under the MMA Series banner. Now he is looking to make history by becoming a two-division champion. The stakes are especially high for Barkhatov: if he loses to Mikhailidi, he will also lose his featherweight title.

In the co-main event, Azamat Dzhigkaev faces Savely Kurochkin. Dzhigkaev, who represents Vladikavkaz and the Vostok team, has 16 professional fights on his record and spent much of his career competing in ACA, formerly known as ACB. He fought 10 times for the Chechen-based promotion, earning five wins against notable opponents including Ivan Bogdanov and Mubaraksho Muburakshoev. Dzhigkaev has yet to compete in MMA Series, making his bout with Kurochkin his promotional debut.

Kurochkin represents Irkutsk and Druzhina, the team founded by Andrey “Anthracite” Vasilenko. He owns a 6-1 professional MMA record and has gone 2-0 in MMA Series. In his debut, Kurochkin defeated Mizratilla Egamnazarov, then followed it up by giving Umar Dmitriev no room to get into the fight. Kurochkin’s strong start in the promotion earned him “Debut of the Year” honors at the MMA-TV.COM Awards 2025.

Earlier on the card, heavyweights Francimar Barroso and Sergey Sengheim meet after Sengheim stepped in to replace injured reigning champion Dimitriy Andryushko. For Brazil’s Barroso, known as “Bodão,” this will be his second MMA Series appearance. In his promotional debut, he finished dangerous Siberian knockout artist Dmitry Vezhenko in impressive fashion. Barroso is also well known internationally, having competed in the UFC and PFL, where he made 14 combined appearances and posted a record of nine wins, four losses and one draw. Sengheim has yet to fight in MMA Series, but he brings 11 professional bouts of experience. A fearless, action-first fighter, Sengheim is unlikely to be intimidated by Barroso’s résumé.

In another featured matchup, Yuri Chernyshev takes on Konstantin Besfamilny. Chernyshev, who represents Sochi, has 13 professional fights to his name. While he has not yet competed in MMA Series, many fans know him from Hardcore, where he made a strong impression, earned a title shot and was recognized for taking part in the best fight of 2023. Chernyshev has built a reputation as a gritty, fan-friendly fighter who knows how to put on a show.

Arley Figueiredo will also be in action against Vladimir Fedin. Figueiredo represents Brazil, Black Thai and Power Fight. The South American fighter has 18 professional bouts and 10 wins on his record. In 2024, he captured the NEC league title. Figueiredo is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and a Muay Thai champion in the Brazilian state of Amapá.

Fedin represents the Sech Pro team and Saint Petersburg. Combat sports fans may know him as a coach to several MMA Series athletes, including Evgeny Myakinkin, but Fedin remains an active fighter in his own right. He has 29 career fights and three appearances in MMA Series, where he has earned two wins, defeating Konstantin Linnik and Wemerson Fernandes.

One of the most unusual attractions at MMA Series 94 will be a 2-on-2 fight. In Russia, MMA Series is the only league currently staging this format, continuing its push to expand the boundaries of combat sports and deliver a different kind of spectacle for fans.

The first team features Andrey Vasilenko and Artem Gudkov, representing Druzhina and Derzhava. Vasilenko is a familiar name to MMA Series fans, having fought three times in the promotion and winning two of those bouts, with his only loss coming against champion Dmitry Mikhailidi. Now Vasilenko will step into the cage alongside young teammate Gudkov, introducing him to MMA Series in a special format. Gudkov is a master of sport in hand-to-hand combat and a two-time hand-to-hand combat champion. He also represents the Akula team.

Standing across from them will be Tamraz Kusilov and Aldam Aldamov, who accepted the unusual challenge without hesitation and are eager to compete in the 2-on-2 format. Neither man is backing away from the opportunity, and both are ready to make a statement in MMA Series.

On the main card, Vladislav Palchikov meets Alexey Soshnikov. Palchikov represents GM GYM and Stary Oskol. He has five MMA Series appearances and three wins in the promotion, all by first-round stoppage. A pure striker, Palchikov draws inspiration from classic Bruce Lee films and books about samurai. He lost his most recent bout in the league, but that defeat came against the future champion Dmitry Mikhailidi.

Soshnikov represents Derzhava. He has six professional fights and five wins, four of them by knockout. All of Soshnikov’s bouts have taken place in the Southern Frontier league, known for its high level of competition. At MMA Series 94, he will make his promotional debut.

Arsen Nersesyan and Gleb Mikhalev will also meet inside the cage. Nersesyan represents Armenia and the Lion Heart team. He has more than 50 fights on his résumé, with 31 victories. Nersesyan first appeared in MMA Series in November 2020 against Alexey Lyapunov.

Mikhalev represents Moscow and the capital-based Druzhina team. He has three professional fights, with two wins and one loss. Mikhalev made his MMA Series debut on Oct. 11, 2025, at MMA Series 92, where he defeated Nasrulla Magomedov by unanimous decision after three rounds. That bout was nominated for “Fight of the Year” at the MMA-TV.COM Awards.

In the third fight of the night, Oleg Belozerov takes on Maxim Voytik. Belozerov represents Druzhina and has 10 professional fights, winning seven. He has competed twice in MMA Series, earning one win and suffering one defeat. Fans last saw Belozerov in the promotion on Dec. 13, when he finished Konstantin Cherednichenko early in the first round. Belozerov also brings a strong fan base in Moscow, meaning the local crowd is expected to be firmly behind him at MMA Series 94.

Voytik represents Belarus and has four professional MMA fights on his record. He made his debut in November 2025, losing to Artemy Oshlykov, but bounced back in February 2026 with a first-round knockout win over Samandar Dekhkonov. On May 30 at Luzhniki, Voytik will make his MMA Series debut.

Earlier in the evening, Khindolbek Burizhonov faces Daniil Gorshkov. Burizhonov represents Uzbekistan and, at just 19 years old, is a promising prospect. A master of sport in boxing, he recently transitioned to MMA and has two mixed martial arts bouts so far, winning one.

Gorshkov represents Russia and the Derzhava club. At 22, he is also in the early stages of his professional career. Gorshkov is a master of sport in MMA and has two wins in two professional appearances. Neither Gorshkov nor Burizhonov has competed in MMA Series before, so both will be making their promotional debuts.

The opening bout of MMA Series 94 features Nahid Ganjaliyev against Georgy Komarov. Ganjaliyev represents Baku, Azerbaijan. He is a candidate master of sport in pankration and hand-to-hand combat, and has competed nine times in professional MMA. Ganjaliyev has not previously fought in MMA Series and will make his promotional debut at event No. 94.

Komarov, known as “Mexican,” represents Legion MMA. He has two professional fights and has won both. Komarov also owns an accomplished amateur background: he is a candidate master of sport, a two-time Russian championship winner and a three-time North Caucasus Federal District kickboxing champion. Like Ganjaliyev, Komarov will make his MMA Series debut on May 30.
