Brazilian heavyweight Francimar Barroso, better known as “Bodao,” has a new opponent for MMA Series-94 in Moscow. Barroso was originally scheduled to face reigning league champion Dmitry Andryushko, but Andryushko has withdrawn due to injury. Sergey Sengheim will now step in to face the Brazilian veteran.
The bout will mark Barroso’s second appearance under the MMA Series banner. In his promotional debut, the experienced Brazilian made a strong statement, stopping Dmitry Vezhenko inside the distance and handing the Siberian knockout artist a decisive defeat.
Barroso is also a familiar name to international MMA fans. The former UFC and PFL fighter made 14 combined appearances across those two organizations, compiling nine wins, four losses and one draw.
Sengheim has yet to compete in MMA Series. The Russian heavyweight enters with 11 professional fights on his record and is known for an aggressive, no-step-back style. Against the more accomplished and experienced Barroso, he now faces the biggest test of his career — and a matchup that could prove demanding for both men.
