Armenian prospect David Mgoyan added a signature victory to his résumé on Saturday, defeating former UFC bantamweight Albert Morales at the MVP-1 event in California.

The 21-year-old controlled the action across all three rounds, earning a unanimous decision victory after a composed and disciplined performance against the UFC veteran.

Mgoyan also drew attention for the high-profile support in his corner, as UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan was cageside throughout the bout.

With the win, Mgoyan improved his professional record to 9-1, continuing his rise as one of Armenia’s promising young MMA talents.
