UFC women’s bantamweight Daria Zheleznyakova could face Brazil’s Alice Pereira in her next Octagon appearance.
According to MMA journalist Léo Guimarães, the promotion is working on booking the matchup for UFC Vegas 122 on Oct. 10. The bout has yet to be officially announced.
Zheleznyakova, 30, holds a professional MMA record of 10-3, with five of her victories coming by knockout or technical knockout. The Russian fighter has gone 2-2 across four UFC appearances.
Before joining the UFC, Zheleznyakova competed in Russia, including a stint with MMA Series. She made two appearances for the promotion in 2020 and won both fights.
Pereira owns a 7-1 professional record. The Brazilian has split her first two UFC appearances, earning one victory and suffering one defeat. A matchup with Zheleznyakova would mark her third fight in the promotion.
